Birmingham hoop dance and circus fest april 20th-21st 2013
spin, dance, explore, create, shimmy, glow, climb, wobble, strut, flow, jump, twizzle, throw, laugh, learn, share, whoop
Birmingham Hoop Dance and Circus Festival promises to be a massive amount of fun! It's a full-on weekend to explore and develop your physical and creative skills through eight different workshops with experienced teachers, free play time, and a bedazzling performance showcase on saturday night followed by a live band, DJ and the chance to dance and bring your light emitting diodes out to play.
The event will take place upstairs in the Old Print Works, a unique, low-carbon, sustainable community centre in Balsall Heath Birmingham. Local amenities include Cafe ORT in the same building, which is an art and community cafe catering for vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian eaters, and the shops and pubs of nearby Moseley village. The venue is on the 50 bus route which links Birmingham city centre, Kings Heath and Moseley, and about 4 miles away from Birmingham's main train, bus and coach stations.
Join the event "Birmingham Hoop Dance and Circus Festival" on facebook to keep up to date with the event, and to message participants if you a) need a Birmingham bed / couch to surf on or b) have one or two to offer (Birmingham Hula Hoopers group too). It's recommended that visitor pays their host £20 for a night's accommodation and breakfast the next morning.
